Accordingly, maintaining a high level of integrity and trust with its customers, employees, those with whom EBS does business and the wider community is the obligation of every EBS director, officer and employee. Although laws may and do differ from country to country, matters of EBS business integrity transcend national boundaries.

CUSTOMERS
EBS believes that integrity in dealings with customers is a prerequisite for a successful and sustained business relationship. This principle governs all aspects of its approach to its customers. EBS undertakes to win and to maintain customers by developing and providing shipping and other services which excel in terms of price, performance, quality and safety, which services are supported by the requisite technological, environmental and commercial expertise. Anticipating and responding to customers' needs is the driving force behind EBS.

EBS shall maintain the confidentiality of all relevant customer information.

LINER / TRAMP OPERATIONS
Alongside liner shipping operations, tramp shipping is another large business field of the Early Bird Shipping. Tramp shipping follows its own, quite distinct laws. It is steered by demand. There are no fixed schedules, no fixed routes. When and where which ship is loaded and where it sails depends solely on the cargo, the customer and, in the final analysis, on the market.
In tramp shipping, logistics becomes a masterpiece of organization to make the right ship available at the right place and at the right time. This demands the closest possible observation of the market. The constant, almost daily, change in market conditions is one of the reasons for the concept of active market policy pursued by Early Bird Shipping (EBS). In product tanker shipping, for instance, the dependency on external market factors is particularly high. This is where not only crude oil products such as fuel oil, aviation fuel and diesel oil, but also molasses, vegetable oils and light chemicals are transported. Bulk shipping, dry bulk commodities such as fertilizers, grain, coal or bauxite are carried. The traditional refrigerated vessels transport mostly bananas, citrus fruits, meat and fish.
One good example of the progressive use of our many years of experience and competence is Early Bird Shipping. The services that are necessary to support our own company can, of course, also be offered to others. This, on the one hand, is fully in keeping with the philosophy of 'home-grown services' and, on the other, fits in with the concept of an active market policy. EBS therefore not only manages the ships of the Group owner as Agents only but also the ships of third party owners. Early Bird Shipping is known throughout to it’s principals as a reliable and powerful partner. What began life in weekly liner services on coastal trading region today provides ideal superlative connections worldwide.
With regular container liner services linking the continents. Thanks to the takeover and integration of numerous new liner services, Early Bird Shipping has consolidated its position as a leading carrier agent.
While our prompt and efficient services which connect South America with Europe, North America, the Mediterranean, Asia, South and West Africa on the one hand, they also link Europe with the Mediterranean, India and Pakistan as well as Australia / New Zealand and the Pacific Islands with Asia and North America. Crucial for the quality of a container carrier, however, is not only the number of connections and ports called but the very special knowledge of the distinctive features and requirements of regional markets. Early Bird Shipping’s panoply of services therefore also represents the sum of positive attributes that has developed through the integration of each individual operation – first-class service, superb reliability, the highest technical standards, all-round logistics solutions, coupled with broad expertise, success in all the trades served and an efficient cost structure.
Liner vessels sail according to a schedule can be planned precisely and are predictable. Nevertheless, in addition to the transport of goods over the ocean, complex logistics services are necessary for cargo owners in producing countries and markets.
Early Bird Shipping not only assures optimal shipment flow before and after the ocean leg, but also undertakes extensive, individualized logistics tasks for customers as part of its value-added services.

Similar services are also offered and reliably performed for smaller shipments that do not fill a whole container, so-called LCL consolidation. These services can include packing and unpacking containers, port services, handling all the relevant import or export documents, expert intermediate storage, breaking down larger shipments into individual consignments, labelling, customs clearance, inland distribution, arranging transport insurance, and much, much more.
