Diana Shipping Inc. Takes Delivery of Panamax Newbuilding Bulk Carrier

ATHENS, Greece, Jan. 25 - Diana Shipping Inc. (NYSE: DSX - News), a global shipping transportation company specializing in dry bulk cargoes, announced that it has taken delivery today of a newbuilding Panamax dry bulk carrier, the Coronis, from Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding (Group) Co., Ltd., Shanghai China. The Coronis is a Panamax dry bulk carrier of 74,381 dwt. With the delivery of the Coronis, Diana Shipping has increased its fleet to thirteen vessels (twelve Panamax dry bulk carriers and one Capesize dry bulk carrier).

With the delivery of this vessel the Diana Shipping fleet will have a combined carrying capacity of approximately 1.1 million deadweight tons and a weighted average age of 3.6 years.
