Moderate earthquake shakes Kythira island

Athens - A moderate earthquake measuring 5.8 on the Richter scale, shook parts of southern Greece on Saturday afternoon, the Athens Geodynamic Institute reported. Its epicenter was off the island of Kythira, 265 kilometres south west of Athens. No casualties or damage to buildings were recorded. The quake was felt in surrounding areas.
