·         We have completed an agreement with the educational institutes of shipping studies at the Universities of Piraeus and the Aegean for the daily updating of their students. Within the framework of this agreement, during the year the students and professors will carry out assignments on subjects related to shipping and the results of the assignments will be presented at special meetings and conferences of the shipping world.

·         In addition, we are participating in the efforts of the municipality of Andros and of the University of Piraeus for the functioning of a branch of the university on the island of Andros for postgraduate students.

·         In the mass media sector, since November 6 2004, the paper circulates together with the weekly economic newspaper “ Isotimia”. The issue of the newspaper which circulates every weekend has different material from the issues that circulate during the week and, amongst other things, contains themes like Sea sports and Leisure, Style, Special Reports, Interviews etc. Our aim is to offer the readership of both newspapers appropriate information which will lead us to form trends in the economy.

The future

Through our continual effort to develop into a newspaper which can function as a useful aid to shipping, our plans cannot but have our European identity as a parameter.

For that reason, we are preparing to publish an English edition of NAVLAGORA which we plan to circulate in 2005 in the  organizations of the European Committee.
