Aegean Marine Petroleum Network Inc. Takes Delivery of Bunkering Tanker Newbuilding

PIRAEUS, Greece, April 28 - Aegean Marine Petroleum Network Inc. (NYSE: ANW), an international marine fuel logistics company that markets and physically supplies refined marine fuel and lubricants to ships in port and at sea, today announced that it has taken delivery of the Syros, a 4,600 dwt newly-built double-hull bunkering tanker from Fujian Southeast Shipyard in China. The Syros will be deployed to Antwerp servicing the Northern European market and is expected to commence operations in June 2008.

By successfully increasing our delivery capacity, we have enhanced our ability to meet the strong demand in our growing network for the physical supply of marine fuel and further grow sales volumes. We remain on track to take delivery of six additional bunkering tanker newbuildings in 2008 during a time when we continue to strengthen the operations in each of our three new service centers located in Northern Europe, the U.K. and West Africa."

With the delivery of the Syros, the Company plans to redeploy the Vera, a 1985-built 3,728 dwt single-hull bunkering tanker, to West Africa from Northern Europe.
