AKER YARDS DELIVERED CONTAINER SHIP TO KöNIG & CIE.

WISMAR / ROSTOCK-WARNEMÜNDE: Aker Yards Germany with sites in Wismar and Rostock-Warnemünde delivered the seventh in a series of eight container ships of the type Aker CS 2700 to the Hamburg based fund initiator König & Cie. GmbH & Co. KG on Tuesday (29 April). Yard number 152 was named STX MUMBAI by Bae Dan, spouse of Kang Duk Soo, Chairman of STX Group on Monday last week (21 April). Immediately after delivery to König & Cie. the ship was taken over by STX Pan Ocean. It will leave the Wismar site of Aker Yards Germany tomorrow (30 April) with destination Liverpool (UK) as first port of loading.
König & Cie. ordered a total of eight vessels of the type Aker CS 2700 and four vessels of the type Aker CS 1700 in 2005 for delivery in 2007 and 2008. The last vessel of the type Aker CS 2700 is scheduled for delivery in summer this year.
