The Board of Directors of Blue Star Maritime S.A. wish to announce, pursuant to the provisions of Law 3340/05, article 2 of decision 3/347/05 of the Capital Markets Commission and article 281 of the Athens Exchange Regulations, its decision, taken at the meeting of 26th February, 2008, to merge by absorption the Blue Star Maritime S.A. by the Athens Exchange listed Attica Group, as per provisions of articles 69-77a of Common Law 2190/20, of articles 1 to 5 of Law 2166/1993 and other provisions of commercial law as applicable.

It was also decided that the Transformation Balance Sheet date will be no later than 30th June, 2008. A further announcement will follow in due course with the final date of the Transformation Balance Sheet and the Board’s proposal for the share exchange ratio.
