May 8, 2008, ATHENS, GREECE - DryShips Inc. (NASDAQ: DRYS) today announced that it has purchased 7,546,668 shares in Ocean Rig ASA at a price of NOK 45 per share from companies controlled by the Company's Chief Executive Officer, George Economou, representing approximately 4.4% of the share capital of Ocean Rig ASA.
