New feeder set-up on the West Coast of South America

Maersk Line is pleased to introduce its new feeder set-up on the West Coast of South America. To cover the current customer requirements and to cater for future market growth, we have improved our services.
What is new?
* We are adding a second Ecuador feeder with an improved loop that will provide a more reliable schedule
* The phase-in of a fully dedicated feeder for all cargo moving to and from Buenaventura, Colombia
* Improved connections to and from North Chile and Peru
These feeder services will all connect to the hub port in Balboa, Panama and create a reliable link to Maersk Line’s global network.
Our customers will benefit from an enhanced feeder network, which provides:
* Weekly coverage all year
* Guayaquil, Ecuador will have two weekly calls
* Ability to adjust our reefer capacity in line with market needs
* Steady and reliable services with faster transit times
* Direct connection to our main services to and from Europe, Asia, North America, Middle East, Africa, and Oceania via Balboa, Panama
The first vessel in the new Ecuador loop will be the Maersk Falmouth, with an estimated departure from Balboa, Panama on 22 July 2008. The new rotation will be as follows: Balboa (Panama), Esmeraldas (Ecuador), Guayaquil (Ecuador), and Balboa (Panama).
The first vessel in the current, improved Ecuador loop will be the Maersk Victoria with an estimated departure from Balboa, Panama on 25 July 2008. The port rotation will be as follows: Balboa (Panama), Guayaquil (Ecuador), Esmeraldas (Ecuador), and Balboa (Panama).
The first vessel in the new Buenaventura service will be the Henriette Schulte with an estimated departure from Balboa, Panama on 28 July 2008. The new rotation will be as follows: Balboa (Panama), Buenaventura (Colombia), and Balboa (Panama).
The first vessel in the new North Chile - Peru service will be the Nedlloyd Juliana with an estimated departure from Balboa, Panama 25 on July 2008. The new rotation will be as follows: Balboa (Panama), Arica (Chile), Iquique (Chile), Callao (Peru), Paita (Peru), and Balboa (Panama).
