STAR BULK ANNOUNCES A 3-YEAR TIME CHARTER FOR ITS NEWEST SUPRAMAX VESSEL STAR OMICRON
Athens, Greece. April 11, 2008 - Star Bulk Carriers Corp. (NASDAQ:SBLK), announced today that the vessel Star Omicron has been committed to a three-year time charter agreement at a gross daily rate of USD 43,000. The Star Omicron (ex Nord Wave) will be delivered to Star Bulk within April 2008 and the three-year time charter will commence at the time of the vessel's delivery to Star Bulk. Star Omicron is a 2005-built Supramax vessel of 53,489 dwt built in Japan.
