American Water Works Association Annual Conference & Exposition 2008: Advanced Water Distribution Analysis - Advantica Presents Software SynerGEE® Water

Atlanta/Hamburg, 9 June 2008 – Operation and maintenance of water distribution systems includes the regular analysis of water quality, pressure management, and pump operating costs. At AWWA 2008, Advantica demonstrates their network planning and analysis software solution SynerGEE Water. It is a simulation software package used to model and analyse water distribution systems.

SynerGEE Water modelling software provides powerful simulation capabilities to water distribution utilities, consultants, engineers and managers with responsibility for network planning. It enables them to better plan, manage, operate and leverage their physical assets. In addition, the software offers enhanced functionality and updated modules that generate fast, accurate simulation results. It provides a full range of powerful analysis tools, including steady-state and extended period analysis, age of water, pressure management and pressure-related demand, water quality, propagation and source contribution analysis, fire flow, and pump operating costs.

The latest addition to the Advantica water product portfolio is the “burstfinder” technology which will also be presented at AWWA. This technique uses an optimization approach combined with pressure dependent demand simulation to recalibrate network leakage. The application of the “burstfinder” technology can significantly reduce time and effort spent locating leaks.
