OOCL’s Global Data Centre receives ISO 27001 Certification

OOCL’s Global Data Centre has been accredited with the ISO 27001 Certification for a period of three years (2008-2011). The certification is an internationally-recognized code of practice for the management and protection of information security.
OOCL has been accredited with the ISO 27001 certificate since 2005, also for a three year period, and the registration was renewed this month after a successful certification audit by Certification Body (SGS), and issued by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS).
ISO 27001 specifications contain a number of objectives and controls. These include: Security policy, organisation of information security, asset management, human resources security, physical and environmental security, communications and operations management, access control, information systems acquisition, development and maintenance, business continuity management and compliance.
