Investments in downstream in Maranhão

During a meeting held with representatives of the Government of the State of Maranhão, Petrobras manifested its intention to study, together with the state, the possibility of installing a Premium refinery there with capacity for 600,000 barrels per day. The plant would be expected to go online in 2013.

Petrobras and the Government of the State of Maranhão will study the terms of a Memorandum of Understandings to be signed in no more than 60 days to define the premises for the parts’ responsibilities in implementing the project.
