Vopak increases storage capacity for clean fuels

10-21-2008

Vopak is building eight new tanks for the storage of components for clean fuel, such as alcohol and methanol. These will add 150,000 m3 to the current capacity of 650,000 m3 at the terminal Botlek Zuid. Recently, 18 smaller tanks (30,000 m3) already went into operation there. In total, the terminal has about 220 tanks of varying sizes.

In addition to the increase in capacity, Vopak is renovating a jetty by installing new pipes, cranes and a vapour processor. An average of four ocean-going chemical tankers and four inland tankers a day dock at the terminal.
