Evergreen responds with a Savannah call

To meet customer demand, Evergreen is to make Savannah the first inbound port on its Asia-U.S.East Coast Service (AUE) from the beginning of February 2009.

Starting with the 4,211 TEU vessel, 'Ever Diadem 0453-081E', departing on January 10, 2009 from Yantian port, operates a weekly service with rotation as follows:

Yantian - Hong Kong - Kaohsiung - Colon - Savannah - New York - Baltimore - Colon - Yantian

This adjustment will shorten transit times inbound from the Far East by six days so it will be reduced to 25 days from Yantian to Savannah. With this upgrade Evergreen significantly improve transit time from the Far East to the U.S. East Coast and help customers to seize the opportunities across the regions.
