Hamburg Süd: rate increase in the westbound transatlantic services
Hamburg, 12 March 2009. The freight rates on the transatlantic routes have reached a level that no longer covers costs.
Hamburg Süd has decided to adjust its rates in the westbound transatlantic services in order to continue offering its customers the high level of reliability and efficiency they are familiar with.
As of 10 April 2009, rates will increase by US$160 for a 20' and US$200 for a 40' container.
