Maersk Line emphasises Intra Asia through MCC

8 December 2008

Maersk Line has long identified the Intra Asia area as a centre of growth and we recognise that it will soon become one of the largest trades in the world for containerised shipments.

Due to the strong market development and our customers’ increasing need to deal with professionals with an in-depth knowledge and focus on this market, Maersk Line will transfer its Intra Asia services to MCC Transport Singapore (MCC) during 2009.

This will result in a unique product offering for our customers; dealing with a partner, who is close to the market, has attention to the specific trade requirements, and in tune with the dynamics that influence it. MCC will be our trade specialist in the Intra Asia market - serving you.

MCC has been a business entity within the A.P. Moller – Maersk Group since 1993 when it was acquired from the East Asiatic Company (EAC). Therefore, a reliable and financially stable partner, who has operated in the market for decades, will handle our Intra Asia services. MCC is today amongst the largest feeder operators in the world.

For more information on our Intra Asia services and the migration to MCC, please contact your local Maersk Line representative.
