Dubai, December 24th, 2008 - UASC is pleased to announce the launch of the MINA (Middle East - Indian Sub Continent - North America) Service that will combine its current MIX and SINA services.

The new service – MINA - is a combination of the current MIX (Mediterranean – India Express) and SINA (South East Asia, India – North America) services. MIX runs between the U.S. East Coast, Mediterranean, Middle East and Indian Sub Continent with 11 x 2,000 TEU class vessels of which 9 are supplied by UASC and 2 by Hanjin Shipping. SINA operates between U.S. East Coast, South East Asia and Indian Sub Continent with 8 vessels; partner carriers including UASC, Hanjin Shipping, K-Line and Yang Ming contributing 2 each.

The MINA Service will deploy a total of 9 x 4,000 TEU vessels of which 6 are supplied by UASC and 3 by Hanjin.
