Egypt's Ports Situation Report

7 February 2011

Dear Valued Customer,

We are writing to inform you that Egypt’s ports have recommenced operations though at different levels of activity:

• Sokhna – full operation has been restored and there is no vessel berthing backlog.
• Damietta – full operation has been restored with some vessel berthing backlog.
• Port Said (West) – operation is at 50 percent normalcy with some vessel berthing backlog.
• Port Said (East) – operation is at 25 percent normalcy with some vessel berthing backlog.

APL offices are opened today with telephone access and e-mail contact. We are planning to recover cargo previously diverted to Malta and Salalah and this will likely take a few weeks to accomplish.

If you need more information, please contact your local APL representative.
