Attica Group supports the program “Agoni Grammi Gonimi 2011” for the 5th consecutive year

For the 5th consecutive year, Attica Group (Blue Star Ferries & Superfast Ferries) is sponsoring the domestic non profit organization “Diadrasis” through the program “Agoni Grammi Gonimi”.

This year’s program is visiting the islands of Iraklia, Antiparos, Chalki, Thirasia, Kastellorizo, Kalymnos, Amorgos and Tinos, where a triptych of actions is presented, including Reading Clubs, Children’s Book Reading Competition, as well as various actions of “Diadrasis’s” Festival, in which people of any age have the opportunity to participate in a rich series of educational workshops and cultural activities.

Students are offered the opportunity to participate in interactive workshops such as: mosaic, kung fu, creation of electronic newspaper and comics, theatre games, yoga, traditional Greek dancing lessons, musical workshops, as well as games oriented around environmental sensibility.

In addition to the open public cultural events, islanders have the opportunity to attend open debate, concerning solutions of energy autonomy in the Greek islands, various cinema screenings, theatrical performances, as well as concerts performed by the Camerata and the Athens State Orchestra.

All the above mentioned action which aims at providing equal accessibility to education and culture for everyone, despite of their residence, is part of Attica Group’s Corporate Social Responsibility program entitled “With you as our Destination”, which is addressed to the islands served by the Group’s fleet through its ship owing companies Blue Star Ferries & Superfast Ferries.
