BBC Chartering strengthens European
representative network

The global provider of multipurpose and heavy lift shipping services, German based BBC Chartering, announces the launch of a new representative office in Bilbao, Spain effective April 10, 2014. This follows the recent opening of a French representation the carrier has introduced in January.

BBC Chartering’s global chartering operations are pillared on an effective regionalization strategy as Jens Meilvang, Chief Chartering Officer of BBC Chartering in Leer remarks. “Spain and France were important markets for us and showed increasing activity over the years. We have served these markets directly from our headquarters in Leer the past, but now we feel it’s time to respond to our client’s needs and develop closer local ties,” Meilvang said.

As new chartering contacts BBC Chartering announces that Mr. Josu Iturri Bilbao will be the designated representative in Bilbao, Spain, and Mr. Charles Akrout in Rouen, France.

Other regional presences of the carrier in Europe are in Antwerp (Belgium), Bremen (Germany), Genoa (Italy), Liverpool (UK), Istanbul (Turkey), and St. Petersburg (Russia). The carrier’s global and European headquarter is located in Leer, Germany.
