Mega Block Fabrication Commences for the Jumboising Conversion of MV Osakana

As the first one of four general cargo vessels from Masterbulk for Jumboising conversion, MV Osakana is coming to Chengxi mainly for installation of an Mega block, which is 13.5 meters in length, 32.26 meters in breadth, 21.0 meters in height, and 700 tons in weight.

Taking charge of fabricating eleven blocks, the Hull Workshop pre-scheduled and endeavored to accomplish this task. The initial block fabrication on jigs has begun since August 24.

Jumboising: Conversion of a ship to increase its cargo area capacity by dividing the ship and adding a new section.
