China Shipping and COSCO Sign Strategic
Cooperation Frame Agreement

On February 13th, In order to jointly cope with the challenge and opportunity brought by the sluggish recovery of international economy and the adjustment of global shipping competitive landscape, China Shipping (Group) Company and China Ocean Shipping (Group) Company signed strategic cooperation frame agreement in Beijing.

On the basis of consolidating the good long-term cooperation, in the light of the principle “take a long term perspective, achieve mutual benefit, carry out win-win cooperation and promote common development”, the two sides will give priority to each other as cooperative partner in terms of business development and project investment.

Through the methods including establishing strategic alliance, carrying out joint venture, coordinating resource allocation, providing supplier to each other, jointly developing customers and expanding new market, the two companies will establish a comprehensive strategic partnership in various areas, like shipping, terminal, logistics, ship building & repair, and build up a resource-sharing development mechanism.

The agreement will help the two sides to complement each other’s advantages, cope with industry changes, promote joint development and effectively raise the influence of Chinese shipping enterprises in the international shipping industry.

Chairman of the Board and Party Secretary Xu Lirong, Director and President Zhang Guofa, COSCO Chairman of the Board and Party Secretary Ma Zehua, Director and President Li Yunpeng, and other group leaders, department leaders, subsidiary leaders attended the signing ceremony.
