President Xi Jinping and Belgium Prime Minister Elio Di Rupo Attend the Signing Ceremony for China Shipping and Maersk’s Agreement on Zeebrugge Terminal Investment

On March 31st, local time, China Shipping Group and Maersk Group signed in Brussels the agreement about Zeebrugge (Belgium) terminal investment and relative cooperation. China Shipping director and president Zhang Guofa and Maersk vice president Francois Delenclos signed on the agreement. Chinese President Xi Jinping and Belgium Prime Minister Elio Di Rupo attended the ceremony and witnessed the signing process, as it is an important composition of Sino-Belgium economic and trade cooperation.

The agreement stipulates that on the basis of China Shipping Terminal Development (Hong Kong) Company’s acquisition of 24% equity of Zeebrugge Terminal Company owned by Maersk APMT, the two sides will further strengthen strategic cooperation in terms of terminal businesses, and discuss the feasibility to jointly operate other container terminals.
