China Shipping Signs Agreement with China National Petroleum
Corporation for Strategic Cooperation

Chairman of Board, Party Secretary of China National petroleum Corporation ( CNPC) Jiang Jiemin, Chairman of Baord, Party Secretary of China Shipping Li Shaode attended the signing ceremony. On behalf of respective parties, GM of CNPC Zhou Jiping, GM of China Shipping Xu Lirong signed the agreement.

On May 22, China Shipping signed an agreement of Strategic cooperation with China National Petroleum Corporation in Beijing, with which both parties will further deepen the cooperation, make full use individual advantages, implement the polity of “China flagged ship to be built in China, goods to China to be shipped by China flagged ships” to ensure the needs of maritime transport of China’s crude oil, product oil, chemicals, and LNG. At the meantime, the 2 parties will push forward the research and development of use of gases to replace oil on ships.

Prior to the signing of the agreement, the 2 parties had a sincere and fruitful meeting. It is mutually declared that China Shipping and CNPC had a good cooperation in the shipment of petroleum gas and chemicals in line with the policy of “China flagged ships to be built in China, Goods to China to be shipped by China flagged ships”.
