• A dedicated Emergency and Communication Response team is in permanent contact with the Japan Atomic Energy Agency, French Radioprotection and Nuclear Safety Institute (IRSN) French and UK Foreign Ministries, Embassies in Japan, the weather routing Company (AWT) and other relevant authorities to closely monitor the situation, and be able to react should this situation change. • All CMA CGM operated vessels’ captains and crews in the area are kept informed timely of all developments as they occur and vessels’ routes are adapted to avoid restricted areas. • All of the Group’s vessels (owned and chartered) continue to call Japan as scheduled. The Group adheres strictly to the authorities’ recommendations on safety matters. • As regards to logistics, CMA CGM has not and will not transport any container from/ to the contaminated area. Japan customs authorities have strengthened their preventive measures including screening for radioactivity. • With regards to cargo booked and loaded, CMA CGM adheres strictly to the authorities’ recommendations, including all required controls.
