19 July 2021 On July 13, the China first DP2 shuttle tanker "NORTHSEA SHIPPING" was delivered by COSCO SHIPPING (Qidong) Offshore (CHI Qidong)., the ship will serve for the gas field named "SHENGHAI #1" in China. "NORTHSEA SHIPPING" is the China first 15,000 DWT shuttle tanker with DP2 system. It is an EPC project of CHI (Qidong). The ship has a customized bow loading system, with total cargo capacity of 18,000 cubic meters, and design speed of 13 knots, the power station can achieve 6 MW which is beyond the a standard 100,000 DWT crude oil tanker.
