Nantong COSCO Shipping's First Completed Dual-Fuel Conversion Project "Mason Yino" Sets Sail

On 2nd August, Mason Yino, the first US LNG dual-fuel conversion project undertaken by Nantong COSCO Shipping, left the anchorage after successfully completing all the works.

"Mason Yino" is the first dual-fuel conversion project completed and sailed by Nantong COSCO Shipping.

The project started in October 2022 when the contract came into effect and began the technical preparation for the production, and on 24th January 2023 the ship entered the yard to start the work, and the conversion lasted for nearly 9 months.

The main works of the project include the addition of FGSS, three new 1,350 cubic meter storage tanks, 1,060 tons of new steel structures, 52,000 meters of new cables, 65 tons of new rows of various pipelines, various types of skids, and upgrading of the main engine and auxiliary engines.

"Mason Yino" is the 24th year of co-operation between Mason Shipping Company and Nantong COSCO Shipping.

It is the record of Nantong COSCO Shipping for repairing and refitting the most ships for the same shipping company and the longest cooperation time. The two companies have cooperated to accomplish the repair and refit of 66 ships.
