In 2012, Zhongxing Sea-Land put forward and implemented the development strategy to "enter the small size vessel segment". In the same year, Zhongxing Sea-Land undertook the construction of a 57m ore carrier. The project proceeded steadily as planned. The newbuild was of high quality and has won full recognition from the owners, which promoted mutual trust between the two sides and set firm basis for further deals. The 73.7m double ended vehicle/passenger ferry will be equipped with dual fuel engines with predetermined power of 969KW/per unit and rated speed of 1200RPM. The trial speed will be 12 knots. The vessel will be 73.7 metres in length, 15.9 metres in breadth, 2.2 metres in depth, and have a design draft of 3.8 metres.
