30K DWT MPP HCV Sea Trial

The second of the 30k DWT Multi-Purpose Heavy Crane Vessel (MPP HCV) series being built in COSCO Dalian Shipyard was launched on the 22nd Sep. One day later the first of the 30K DWT MPP HCV series, for Chinese-Polish Joint Stock Shipping (CHIPOLBROK), commenced sea trials which were successfully completed at the end of September.

The 30K DWT MPP HLV, which is 199.8m in length, 27.8m in breadth and 15.5m in depth, has a multi-function role of bulk carrier, container ship, multi-purpose vessel and heavy lift vessel. The vessel is about 14,000 dwt tonnes and has a maximum lifting capacity of 640 tonnes. With its high speed, powerful lifting capacity and flexible loading capability, the MPP HCV is capable of readily adapting to accommodate different ocean-going cargoes. COSCO Shipyard Group Co. Ltd.
