"BATEAU"Modules Lifted on Board

The process modules for "BATEAU", the VLCC undergoing conversion to FPSO, were successfully lifted on board in COSCO Dalian Shipyard. The 21 modules, which include the 2PW, 3PW and 4PW modules, need to be connected after their installation, which requires a very precise lifting operation. The modules were lifted on board safely and, according to the precision measurements made on completion, exactly matched with the newly fabricated module bases, winning the operator¡¯s approval.

COSCO Dalian Shipyard has converted four VLCCs into VLOCs so far this year.
