SEVAN DRILLER was Selected into the Ten Tech-progress in China

A few days ago, China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) released to public the progress of major science, technology and project of China in 2009. The first cylindrical ultra-deep water drilling unit "SEVAN DRILLER", built by COSCO Shipyard, together with the Petaflops Super Computer Tianhe-One, the Advanced Regional Jet for 21st Century ARJ21-700 and the utility-type mid-low speed maglev train were selected into the ten tech-progress in China. This was COSCO Shipyard offshore product made its first appearance in the state-level tech-progress.

The progress of major science, technology and project of China in 2009 was chosen by the publication "Science & Technology Review" of China Association for Science and Technology(CAST), including ten scientific progresses, ten technical progresses and ten project progresses. This is also the 6 consecutive years to release the major progresses of science, technology and project of China since 2004 by this publication. Each selection attracted wide attention in social circles.
