"SUNRISE IV" Super Module Hoisting

The "CO2 REMOVE" function module was successfully hoisted on the VLCC to FPSO conversion vessel"SUNRISE IV" in COSCO Dalian Shipyard on 11th March. Such a hoist set a record of the shortest time and largest tonnage for super module hoisting in COSCO Dalian Shipyard.

This "CO2 REMOVE" function module is about 1755 tons, 26.7 meters long, 25.36 meters wide, 20 meters high and has four 600 tons lifting eyes. For satisfied the safety hoisting requirement of so heavy module, shipyard's technical engineers modified and upgraded the lifting bar several times and finally completed the hoisting in 5 hours, saved lifting cost about 1 million RMB.
