N138/139 Naming Ceremony and N139 Delivery

The naming ceremony for N138 and N139, the two 57,000DWT bulk carriers being built for the Turkish company INCE, was held in COSCO Zhoushan Shipyard on 22nd April.

The ceremony was conducted by Mr. Zhao Fuqiang, Vice-general Manager of COSCO Zhoushan Shipyard. Godmother Ms.Hu Weiqin named the two vessels as 'INCE KASTAMONU' and 'INCE KARADENIZ'. Mr.Zhang Qinghai, Secretary of discipline inspection commission of COSCO Shipyard Group, Mr.Ahmet Bedri Ince, Board Chairman of INCE, and Mr. T. HAYASHI, Leader of NK class China, pushed the officiating handspike. Mr. AHMET HICRI INCE, from INCE, smashed the champagne bottle to unveil 'INCE KASTAMONU' and 'INCE KARADENIZ'. In total about 260 representatives from the shipowner, NK class, the shipyard and related companies attended the ceremony.

On the same day, N139, 'INCE KASTAMONU' was delivered to the owner. This is the sixth 57,000DWT bulk carrier successfully delivered in COSCO Zhoushan Shipyard since 2009.

Since 2009, a total of 19 newbuilding vessels, including 57,000DWT bulk carriers, 92,500DWT bulk carriers and a 30K DWT Multi-Purpose Heavy Crane Vessel (MPP HCV), have been delivered by the COSCO Shipyard Group.

N138, N132 Delivery

After delivery of the 57,000DWT bulk carrier N139, another two 57,000DWT bulk carriers were successfully delivered by COSCO Zhoushan Shipyard recently. Thus, three 57,000DWT bulk carriers have been continuously delivered by COSCO Zhoushan Shipyard in one month.

On 5th of May, the 57,000DWT bulk carrier INCE KARADENIZ (N138), built for Turkish company INCE, was delivered to the owner.

On 6th of May, the third 57,000DWT bulk carrier built for COSCO Bulk Carrier, QU SHAN HAI (N132), was delivered to the owner.
