Recently, for the purposes of supporting the idea of environmental protection in ship repair propagated by the Green Expo, COSCO Shanghai Shipyard have adopted techniques for rust removal utilizing a high pressure water jet instead of traditional sand blasting. In terms of meeting the requirements of shipowners it worked very well and not only reduced the cost but also improved the air quality and production environment.
