RBD OCEAN OF JOY Naming and Delivery Ceremony

The third 92,500DWT bulk carrier N251, being built for Noble Group, was named in COSCO Dalian Shipyard on 1st of June.

Mr. Harindarpal Singh Bangae Vice Chairman of Noble Group, and his wife Mrs. Indra BANGA, Mr. Guiseppe RIZZO, Managing Director and CEO of RBD Armatori Spa, and Mr.Yan Chengxiang, Vice General Manager of COSCO Shipyard Group & General Manager of COSCO Dalian Shipyard, attended the Naming ceremony. Godmother Ms.Adele Marina RIZZO, Head of Chartering of RBD Armatori Spa and sister of Mr. Guiseppe RIZZO, named N251 "RBD OCEAN OF JOY"

The 92,500DWT bulk carrier RBD OCEAN OF JOY has dimensions of 229.2m X 38m X 20.7m, a speed of 14.1 knots and a range of 22,000 sea miles. Based on experience gained during the construction of the first two vessels, it was a significantly improved-upon vessel in terms of quality control, cost control and schedule control.

A naming reception was held by Noble Group in the evening. Mr.Wang Xingru, President of COSCO Shipyard Group, exchanged gifts with the client and delivered a wonderful speech at the reception. He said that under the trust and support of Noble Group, COSCO Shipyard Group will continuously optimize the 92,500DWT bulk carrier construction process and complete the series of 92,500DWT bulk carriers more smoothly. In the future, COSCO Shipyard Group will keep improving its technical and management strength , continue to build an excellent brand image and provide the public customer, such as the Noble Group, with better products and more satisfactory services.

On the following day, RBD OCEAN OF JOY was delivered to the owner and set sail upon her maiden voyage.
