N211and N212 Naming Ceremony

On 31st August, the two 57000 bulk carriers (N211 and N212) being built for Greek owner Common Progress, were named "GEORGIOS P" and "MAGDA P" respectively in COSCO Dalian Shipyard. Key representatives from Common Progress, COSCO Dalian Shipyard and the COSCO Shipyard Group attended this milestone event.

Common Progress is one of our most important ship newbuilding customers. Just as the COSCO Shipyard Group entered the shipbuilding market in 2006, the Athens based company signed a contract for two 57000 bulk carriers, to be built by the Dalian yard. As the construction progressed, the cooperative relationship betweenboth parties became more harmonious. Common Progress is now a very important core client for the COSCO Shipyard Group. This year, the company has signed orders for two vessels, for delivery in 2011, from the Dalian yard. The contract includes two options which, if exercised, would be for delivery in 2012.
