Naming Ceremony of New Build Heavy Lift Ship "PARANDOWSKI"

COSCO Dalian Shipyard held a naming ceremony for the newbuild 30K DWT Multi-Purpose Heavy Crane Vessel being delivered to the Chinese-Polish Joint Stock Shipping (CHIPOLBROK) on 28th October, 2010. At the naming ceremony, key representatives from the Polish Ministry of Infrastructure, the Polish Embassy in China, Chinese-Polish Joint Stock Shipping, the COSCO Shipyard Group, China Classification Society and Dalian Maritime Safety Administration, among others, celebrated the successful naming of the 30K DWT MPP HCV. This Multi-Purpose Heavy Lift Vessel was named "PARANDOWSKI" by Ms. Anna Wypych-Namiotko£¬ Undersecretary of State at the Polish Ministry of Infrastructure.
"PARANDOWSKI" is the third of a series of six heavy lift vessels being constructed by COSCO Dalian Shipyard and measures 199.80m in length, 27.80m in breadth and 15.50m in depth. The 30K DWT MPP HCV has a scantling draft of 11.00m, a loading capacity of 1,904 TEU, a speed of 19.2 knots and a range of 15,000 sea miles. She is equipped with four cranes, including two 320 tonne cranes.
The construction efficiency and project quality for this vessel have been markedly improved compared with the previous two vessels. In particularl, the lift away hatch covers on the second deck were fabricated more accurately and can be interchanged throughout the ship.
