First 59K Shuttle Tanker docking

On the 22nd of October, the stern block of the first 59K shuttle tanker, being built for Lauritzen Tankers A/S, was launched smoothly in COSCO Nantong Shipyard. After that, the vessel docked smoothly and fabrication continued in the dock on 4th November.

This vessel is a marine-type double-hull shuttle tanker. It is designed and developed by COSCO Shipyard and is equipped with two retractable azimuth thrusters, a bow tunnel propeller and a bow loading system. Experience gained during construction of the 105K shuttle tanker enabled the yard to optimize process flow ensuring that the launch was completed extremely efficiently.
