POLCOR® SACRIFICIAL ANODES

Environmental Protection Engineering S.A. since its foundation has developed the Cathodic Protection activity and materialized up to today numerous projects. EPE S.A. is considered as one of the main specialized suppliers of Sacrificial Anodes and ICCP internationally, with applications to sub sea infrastructures, shore and land structures, underground pipelines, wind farms, jetties, ships, yachts.

EPE S.A. designs and manufactures its products under the registered trademark “POLCOR®”. The zinc and aluminum sacrificial anodes are produced in the company’s factory in Greece. The production of anodes complies with the highest internationally approved standards of quality and safety and is environmental friendly. Our factory operates in accordance to the internationally approved standards and practices and quality control management specifications as defined in ISO 9001:2008, OHSAS 18001:2007 and ISO 14001:2004. The production capacity of EPE S.A. is 10.000 tones annually.

The company operates fully equipped laboratory for product quality control. The laboratory analyzes on a 24-hour basis the chemical elements with a high definition spectrograph and modern facilities for the electrochemical testing for endurance in warm and cold seas. This electrochemical control examines the performance of alloys and products per batch, in accordance to internationally approved standards. Furthermore, there is the possibility to produce any specification upon request and to advice and guide customers as to the most suitable alloy for a specific application.

EPE S.A. has been internationally recognized as manufacturer and supplier of anodes with its participation to the three phases of the Yachtsman deepwater port project of Shanghai International Shipping Center having supplied 2.000 tones aluminum anodes as well as with the supply of 77.315 pieces of zinc anodes for the external Cathodic Protection of the pipelines of the “Great Man Made River” project in Libya.
