Evergreen Line announces Rate Restoration in South Africa and East Coast of Southern America Westbound trades

In a continued effort to provide our customers with the same reliable and efficient services, Evergreen Line has decided to restore freight rates in the Asia-South Africa and Asia-East Coast of South America trades.
We believe that it is essential to bring our freight level back to a sustainable and viable levels, so that we can continue providing the comprehensive network of liner services that our customer accustomed to. In view of above mentioned, we therefore reluctantly to announce that Evergreen Line must now do rate restoration in above mentioned trades, effective July 1, 2009.
The increase quantum will be as follows
Quantum
a. South Africa trade, USD200/TEU
b. East Coast of South America, USD300/TEU
Remarks
New rate increases will apply to all cargo and commodities, including reefers and special equipment.
