2 more luxury cruise vessels arrive at Mangalore Port

2 Cruise vessels M.V. SEVENSEAS VOAYAGER with 650 cruise passengers and 454 crew and M.V. SEABOURN ODYSSEY with 438 passengers and 339 crew called at NMPT on 3-12-2012. M.V. SEVENSEAS VOAYAGER is on her 3rd voyage and M.V. SEABOURN ODYSSEY is on her maiden voyage to NMP.

So far 7 cruise vessels called at the Port during the current fiscal year 2012-13. Out of the total 1088 passengers in these two vessels from US and UK around 1000 passengers opted for ground tour and enjoyed the scenic beauty and cultural heritage of D.K. District like 1000 Pillar Jain temple, monolithic statue of gomateshwara, Soans Farm, St.Aloysius chapel, Kadri temple, Gokarnanatha temple ,cashew factory, city shopping etc.

These tourists were taken around by the local ground tour operators, M/s Lia Travels in 40 a/c buses. Both the vessels sailed out to Cochin in the evening.

Dr. P. Tamilvanan, Chairman has stated that both the captains of the vessel gave excellent feed back on the facilities available at NMPT especially the neatness, excellent security arrangement, world class cruise lounge, greenery in and around the Port and above all the outstanding hospitality extended to the passengers during their short stay at Mangalore.
