(MES with president Mr. Yasuhiko Katoh) has produced 3.83 million horsepower (BHP) by 187 sets of Mitsui-MAN B&W Diesel Engine at its Tamano Woks, (Okayama Prefecture) for fiscal year 2012, while the production in the previous year was 4.31 million horsepower (BHP) by 220 sets.
MES, since it first entered into technical agreement with B&W, Denmark (currently MAN Diesel & Turbo) for diesel engine manufacturing in 1926, has ever produced total accumulated engine output of 80,000,000 BHP as of November 2012 as a leading manufacturer of diesel engine.
