Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL; President: Koichi Muto) today announced that, on
August 8, 2013, MOL and its subsidiary in the United States, Mitsui O.S.K. Bulk Shipping (USA),
Inc. (MOBUSA), received the complaint concerning a class-action lawsuit filed on July 4, 2013
(local time) in the Ontario Superior Court in Canada via MOL’s Canadian agent as follows.

MOL group will properly address the matter after carefully examining the details.
<br><br>
1. Background of lawsuit filing
<br>
The plaintiff argues that the defendants conspired to adjust prices for ocean transport services of
completed cars, which are related to the trade of Canada.
<br><br>2. Plaintiff:<br>
Name: Ryan Todd Wonch and Margaret A. Wonch
<br><br>3. Details of the lawsuit<br>
The plaintiff seeks compensation for alleged damages, injunctive relief for the subject action
against the defendants, and so on. The amount of damage claimed is not specified in the
complaint.
<br><br>4. Future prospects<br>
As of today, MOL has learned that other similar lawsuits have been filed against MOL in Canada.
Similar lawsuits may possibly be filed against MOL and MOL group companies in the future. The
effect of these lawsuits on MOL’s business performance is uncertain at this stage due to the
difficulty of calculating the financial impact.
