Iran Exports First Crude Cargo to Europe in 24 hrs

Managing director of National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) has announced the country will export its first crude cargo to European refiners via Kharg oil export terminal within the next day.

Roknoddin Javadi has stated that the country has begun exporting crude oil to European refiners.

Mentioning that the cargo contains 4 million barrels of crude oil, Javadi has indicated that 2 million barrels of the cargo is due to be delivered to France's Total and the rest will be received by Spanish refiners and a Russian company.

The official added that the cargo will be loaded by 3 tankers within the next 24 hours from Kharg oil export terminal to be delivered to European refiners.

The cargo which is the first one exporting to Europe after 4 years of unfair imposed sanctions against the country's energy industry, is regarded a breakthrough now in the wake of post-sanction era.
