Tehran (NIOC) - 5 May 2016 Iran will reach the production level of 3.8 million barrels per day within few days, managing director of National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) stated. Roknnodin Javadi made the remark in a news conference took place in the onset of the 21st International Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemicals Exhibition of Iran Today (May 5th) and added that Iran has successfully reached a hundred percent of its plans to produce and export crude oil. Mentioning that during sanctions, the country had a production rate of a million barrels per day, Javadi explained: “Based on what is planned, catching up with same capacity of producing crude oil as it was before the sanctions requires a target of producing 2,200 million barrels per day. Deputy Minister of petroleum stated that Iran will soon make the record and reaches to the production rate of 2.1 million barrels per day. Regarding condensates, Javadi also pointed out that the country has been successful to export 450,000 barrels while during the sanctions the figure was only 250,000 barrels per day. Regarding Iran Petroleum Contract (IPC) matter, managing director of NIOC stated that the first round of tender offers will be held in June. National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) press release |
