March 14, 2017 Frontier Ambition, a bulk carrier operated by NYK, rescued a yachtsman in distress in the Strait of Magellan on February 18. While Frontier Ambition was sailing from Rizhao, China, to Otway, Chile, the vessel received a request from the MRCC* Punta Arenas to assist a yachtsman who had become stranded due to bad weather. The rescued yachtsman was delivered in good health from Frontier Ambition to the Chilean coast guard on February 20.
