Singapore, 4 April 2011 – Otto Marine Limited, (“Otto Marine” or the “Group”), a leading offshore marine company which specializes in building complex offshore support vessels, ship chartering and offers specialized offshore services, is pleased to announce its second sales order within one week, subsequent to the announcement last week in relation to the sales of two 8,000bhp AHTS for US$43.4 million.

Otto Marine sold its Norwegian design MT6009 MKII DNV Class Platform Supply Vessel, amounting to US$31.5 million (equivalent to S$39.8 million), to Mermaid Maritime Australia Limited.

“Offshore marine industry is moving towards deeper water. Coupled with surging oil prices that will spur exploration activities, demand for platform supply vessels appears to be reviving. Our DNV Class vessels are of high specifications which allow them to weather the roughest sea conditions. We are cautiously optimistic that 2011 will turn out to be a better year for new builds and Otto Marine is well-positioned to benefit from this recovery.”

Mr Lee Kok Wah, President cum Group Chief Executive Officer
“The above transactions are not expected to have a material impact on the Company’s earnings per share for the year ending 31 December 2011. None of the Directors or substantial shareholders of Otto Marine has any interest, direct or indirect, in the aforesaid transaction save for their shareholdings in the Company.”
