The Multifunction rescue tug «MB-121» of the project PS-45 building No 801 of the Acceptance Program of 2014 has been launched

«MB-121» the first vessel of new project. The series of vessels of this type is constructed under the order of RF Navy to perform a wide range of tasks of the Fleet.



Launch of the vessel will be made by a unique technology using channel for ship launch. Channel for ship launch is hydraulic structure of the complex, which is one of the key areas on the shipyard "Pella", for final stages of construction vessels. In this project it is used modern technologies longitudinal launching of vessels on the sphenoid platform with a high degree of automation. Ship stands on special supports lifted together with these supports and on the team tracks move to open slipway on the special device ("vessel trolley-transporter"), consisting of 10 pairs ship launching trolleys with electric and hydraulic drives.

On a driver's special monitor "vessel trolley-transporter" displays information about the distribution of the actual load weight vessel with supports on each trolley for prevent overloading.

Before launching "vessel trolley-transporter" shifts the ship with supports on the sphenoid platform, which smoothly moves downward by winches along paths to channel for ship launch positioned at an angle of 3 degrees. When platform submerged into the water the ship breaks the surface. Then the ship moves to building berth. The depth of the channel near the full floats of the vessel is 20 m.

At the launching ceremony was attended by representatives of the customer and factory workers, as well as the guest of honor: Captain “MB-121” - Grechukhin Yuriy Borisovich.

The vessel was sanctified by Churchman Nikolay of the Church of Alexander Nevsky.

• Escort operations at the speed of up to 10 knots.
