New Port of Miami Cranes on the Way

The Miami-Dade County Commission has approved the Port of Miami's
purchase of four additional Super-Post Panamax cranes.

The new cranes are necessary to accommodate the larger containerized cargo vessels that will traverse the expanded Panama Canal in 2014.

The Port of Miami currently has nine cranes, two of which are Super-Post-Panamax cranes.
